We’re Back
My last post is ten years old. So, when I clicked “update” on the platform where I store this blog, the color rolled off my posts, the text shifted out of alignment, links were broken. None of the old tools showed up. The old adages come to mind from Catholic school about time waiting for no one, accompanied by a smack to the back of the head (spiritually speaking, of course): WAKE UP!
While the world felt it was on spin cycle the past decade, Covid was the craziest. Some adapted seamlessly, while others froze. During Covid, I vacillated between training for the Great British Baking Show and pulling the covers over my head.
There was a universal habit of judging one another’s politics based on who stringently wore the mask and who didn’t, and it made instant saints out of those who longed to be untethered. “I must isolate – I think I’ve been exposed.” Oh, the selflessness.
In the rooms where I showed up, some were slow to return to meeting in-person, preferring Zoom. Others returned after everybody stopped wearing masks… in a mask. Like my website, not everything went back to what it was.
I will put up new posts while I fix what’s broken. And as I do, I pray that you and yours are abundantly blessed.
It’s good to be here. See you soon!
